Role Summary:

  • Provide financial business partnership as part of the Commercial Finance & Financial Planning & Analysis team.
  • Support financial planning, analysis, and reporting to enable strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization to manage financial processes and deliver insightful analyses.

Role Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience in core accounting functions, such as budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel and finance systems like Agresso/Unit4, TM1, Tableau.
  • Proven ability to manage workloads independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills and excellent attention to detail.

The role entails working as a Finance Business Partner – Financial Planning & Analysis in our Commercial Finance & Financial Planning & Analysis team. You will be supporting the team within the Financial Planning & analysis team reporting to Senior Manager for Financial Planning & analysis (FP&A). This role is part of the Commercial Finance and Planning and Analysis Team, this team provide business partnering across the organisation to enable effective decision making, manage the financial planning process as well as producing analysis and reporting for ELT, the Board of Governors and to each area of the organisation.

Job requirements include ACA/ACCA/CIMA or relevant qualification, experience working in a core accounting role, eg producing variance commentary, budgeting and forecasting. Advanced Excel and finance systems skills as well as experience using finance and analytical systems e.g. Agresso/Unit4, TM1, Tableau. Ability to manage own workload with focus on delivery, to work on own or as part of a multi-functional team. Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and excellent attention to detail.

We are currently working 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) from our Euston Road offices (as part of our hybrid Ways of Working) with the remaining 3 days working either remotely or in the office. From 1st September 2024 we will move to 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with the remaining 2 days working either remotely or in the office.

Upon a conditional offer being made, the successful applicant for this position will be required to undertake a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (or equivalent) criminal record check to disclose any ‘unspent’ criminal convictions or conditional cautions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
