In the pivotal role of Head of Delivery – Planning and Resource Management, you will orchestrate the planning and allocation of resources to effectively execute Teach First's transformative programmes. Your strategic input will ensure that dynamic educators are positioned where they can make the greatest impact.

Role Summary:

  • Develop comprehensive plans for programme support and execution.
  • Manage resource planning to align with the delivery of multiple educational programmes.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Support Leadership Team and various departments to enhance participant and stakeholder experiences.
  • Support school senior leaders throughout England with programme delivery.
  • Contribute to teacher development and leadership programmes to foster educational excellence.

Role Requirements:

  • Prior leadership experience in the education and/or social sector.
  • Proven track record of strategic planning and meeting targets.
  • Ability to establish and nurture professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competence in making informed and timely decisions.
  • Expertise in team and project management, including the creation of business cases and contingency plans.

Teach First is committed to building a fair education for all children. As Head of Delivery – Planning and Resource Management, you will create detailed plans to support a programme and delivery model to execution. This includes resource planning to ensure we have the right people in the right places to deliver our multiple programmes. You will be part of the Programme Support Leadership Team, working closely with them and multiple cross-department roles to create a seamless experience for our people and stakeholders.

The Delivery department delivers Teach First's programmes across all areas of England. This role will deliver our programme support to school senior leaders in towns and communities across the country. In Delivery, we teach and develop programme members and trainees through teacher development and leadership programmes.

We are looking for someone with direct experience of working in the education and/or social sector in leadership roles. You should have experience of formulating and delivering on plans to achieve targets and identifying course correcting actions. You should be able to form and maintain impact-focused professional relationships across teams, internal and external stakeholders. You should be able to take effective, considered and timely decisions by gathering and evaluating relevant information. You should have developed team and project plans including developing business cases, contingency plans and critical paths and ensured their successful execution.
