The Role:
Flash Pack is on a mission to create one of the best global, remote companies -where members feel deeply connected to each other and their work. Reporting into the Director of People, we're looking for a dynamic and experienced People Operations Manager to join the People team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive inclusive work environment, developing talent, and implementing strategies to support the company's growth objectives as we scale. The People Ops Manager will play a critical role in shaping our culture, managing employee relations, driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention, overseeing our global workforce and Employer of Record (EOR) relationships, ensuring HR policies and practices align with our company values, and resolving compliance matters.
Results you’ll drive:
Being instrumental in supporting the Director of People and Leadership team on the mission to scale and enhance our culture as we grow.
Ensuring that our ways of working align with our values and fundamental principles of creating a blameless culture whilst seeking fairness and inclusivity in every aspect of our business.
Enabling team leaders with the right training, coaching and guidance to be the best leaders they can be.
Embedding best practices, processes, tooling, techniques and success measures to continuously improve operational efficiency.
You’ll translate Flash Pack’s strong value-based culture to our people's experience and ways of working.
1. Talent Acquisition to Offboarding:
Develop and optimise end-to-end talent acquisition processes, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and onboarding, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Design and execute streamlined onboarding programs to facilitate seamless integration of new hires.
Oversee offboarding procedures to ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.
2. Trusted Advisor to Employees and Managers:
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.
Conduct training sessions to educate employees and managers on HR best practices and compliance requirements.
3. Performance Management:
Embed performance management tools andprocesses, to facilitate goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance evaluations.
Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting effective performance reviews and addressing performance-related issues.
4. Employee Development and Career Advancement:
Identify opportunities for employee development and career advancement, and facilitate training and mentorship programs.
Collaborate with managers to create individualised development plans for employees.
5. Employee Benefits and Compensation:
Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring competitive offerings.
Conduct benchmarking and analysis to ensure equitable compensation practices.
6. Employee Engagement and Retention:
Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention, such as recognition programs and voice of the employee surveys.
Monitor employee feedback and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
7. Compliance and Global Workforce Management:
Oversee compliance with local employment laws and regulations in all jurisdictions where the company operates.
Manage relationships with Employer of Record (EOR) partners to ensure compliance for international employees.
Provide guidance on international employment matters, including immigration, tax, and benefits.
Draft and review global HR policies, procedures, and company handbooks to ensure alignment with company values and legal requirements.
8. Build for Efficiency and Scale:
Build scalable and Efficient People Operations Workflows

This is a Remote Flexible role meaning that while it is contracted to the London office there is flexibility to work from home the majority of the time.

This role will be a good fit if:
You have experience in HR, with experience in a managerial or leadership role.
You have demonstrated experience in a high-growth startup environment that has scaled from Series A-B.
You have proficiency in HRIS systems, people analytics, project management software, and Google Workspace.
You have in-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, especially in multiple jurisdictions.
You have experience drafting and reviewing global HR policies and company handbooks.
You have experience conducting investigations and resolving compliance matters.
You have strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
What else?
Hours: This role is Monday to Friday but you will be liaising with US or UK office regularly so you should be happy working odd hours when necessary.
Salary: The base salary range for this role is between £55,700 - 65,600 depending on experience. We also offer stock options after your first year with the company.
Location: You will be based in London, but the role can mostly be done remotely.
