What will you be doing?

(A) Administrative duties:

Provide overall leadership and take management responsibility for successful plan, design and oversight the implementation of the project; Oversee project staff and consultants; Provide inputs in identification of linkages between the IYA and other potential partners for maximizing the efficient and effective use of resources; Build, motivate and lead a high performing team consisting of programme personnel, expert consultants, service providers, etc.

  (B) Coordinate the initiation and the implementation of the project in compliance with the project specific objectives, activities and expected outputs by:

Ensuring a quality achievement of the project outputs in line with corporate standards; Designing a detailed work and activities plan and regularly monitoring its implementation; Identifying project implementation partners and stakeholders; Drafting terms of reference of contracts and departments; Following-up on the implementation of the contracts, assessing the quality of services provided and requesting disbursement of funds; Building synergies with other projects and activities of the IYA; Identifying relevant institutions and ensuring their engagement in project's activities; Ensuring capacity development of national stakeholders in all activities at individual, organizational and system levels.

  (C) Ensure the monitoring and evaluation of project implementation and the reporting on project activities by:

Presenting aggregate strategic analysis on project performance based on commitment of indicators and implementation of activities as well as output delivery; Regularly monitoring the financial status of the project and promptly developing budget revision if needed; Regularly conducting meetings of the project steering and technical committees, preparing minutes of meetings and action plans with clear responsibility and timeframe; Providing content on major project's achievements and steps in project implementation for IYF's public information services to increase the visibility of IYF and its stakeholders; Fostering exchanges of information, experience, identifying new strategies of action to improve delivery of services and to achieve the project requirements and objectives;

Ability to assist in strategic planning, results-based management and reporting. Ability to assist in corporate strategic initiatives. Excellent computer, internet, social media and information system skills. Excellent communication and coordination skills.

  Skills Required for Position

Ability to interact cordially and communicate with a diverse community. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly, accurately and effectively.

  Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience and results preferred in an education management role, development, communications, youth issues, sports, women empowerment, youth-led organizations or another relevant field.
