- Lead the delivery of Public Health and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programming in alignment with WaterAid's strategies.
- Develop key partnerships to execute WASH and Health programs across multiple regions.
- Provide technical advice and guidance while developing impactful and innovative WASH and Health program interventions.
- Master's degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, or Health Policy & Management, with preference given to candidates with a Medical Sciences background.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in Health and/or behavior change programming in the Southern Africa region.
- Demonstrated experience in health systems strengthening, policy, advocacy, and campaign management.

The role: Reporting to the Country Director, the Public Health Advisor is to lead the delivery of the Public Health and WASH programming, in line with WaterAid Country and Global Strategy. The role also develops key partnerships for the delivery of WASH and Health programming across countries and region. The role supports country and regional teams in providing overall technical advice, guidance, development, and design of impactful, high-quality inclusive, gender responsive and innovative WASH and Health programme interventions.
Job requirements: A master's degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Health Policy & Management from a recognized university. Those with a degree in Medical Sciences will have an advantage. Minimum 7 years of demonstrated practical experience in Health and/or behaviour change programming (especially in Public/Preventive Health) in Southern Africa region. Proven experience in health systems strengthening, policy and advocacy and leading campaigns' design and delivery.
