Role Summary:
- Develop robust web-based systems, administration tools, and e-commerce capabilities.
- Maintain and enhance integrations with third-party systems and APIs.
- Collaborate with software engineers, designers, QA specialists, and product managers in a team setting.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Proficient in PHP8+ and modern PHP frameworks, especially Symfony.
- Strong grasp of OO programming concepts and design patterns.
- Experienced with Git version control, TDD, and unit testing.
- Additional skills that are a plus: CS degree, knowledge of HTML/CSS, modern JS frameworks, RESTful API design, relational databases, and teamwork in cross-functional groups.

We are a successful startup looking for a fully remote Backend Engineer to contribute to the development of our web applications.
The Role: You will be developing web-based systems and functionality for our own products, administration systems, and e-commerce capabilities using modern frameworks. You will also develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems and our APIs. You will work in a team environment with other software engineers, designers, QAs, and product managers.
Job Requirements: You should have at least 7 years of commercial experience as a software engineer or equivalent. You should have in-depth knowledge of PHP8+ and familiarity with modern PHP frameworks, preferably Symfony. You should have a solid understanding of OO programming concepts and patterns and familiarity with version control using Git and associated workflows. Experience with TDD and unit testing is also required.
Other skills you might have include a degree in CS or equivalent, a good understanding of HTML and CSS, familiarity with modern JS frameworks, experience designing and building RESTful APIs, knowledge of relational databases, and experience working in cross-functional teams.
