Head of Product Design

The role

We are looking for a hands-on Head of Product Design to join us at Numan.com. You’ll own our digital product design vision, lead design for some of the most critical projects in the business and manage our talented Product Design team.

You’ll be: 

• Working as a hands-on Head of Product Design, reporting to our VP of Product. 

• Owning the digital product design vision for Numan and being responsible for elevating the quality and consistency of our patient experience, ensuring all work aligns with and pushes forward our recently rebranded identity.

• Spending most of your time as a hands-on Product Designer leading design initiatives like: 

• Designing the end-to-end experience for a new medical treatment category.

• Re-imagining how we communicate an offering’s value proposition through landing pages.

• Pairing with your team to build out our design system and elevate our rebranded UI. 

• Managing a four-person Product Design team, responsible for their personal growth and collaborating closely with them and the cross-functional squads they work in.

• A key leader in transforming the perception of Numan from an online pharmacy to a holistic healthcare partner, offering innovative solutions that combine medication, diagnostics, clinical care, behavioural therapy and coaching through seamless digital experiences across web and app. 

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A passion for solving meaningful health issues. You'll be excited by the impact you could have re-imagining a product experience to help patients live happier, healthier and longer lives (no Healthtech experience required).

• Managed and developed Product Designers. You'll inspire a team and create an environment for Product Designers to do their best work.

• A track record of launching highly impactful, mobile-first products on both web and app as a hands-on Product Designer, and you'll have the portfolio to prove it.

• Lead customer interviews and pushed forwards a culture of staying close to our patients.

• A data-driven approach, an experimentation mindset as well as knows how to use data to inform design.

• An ownership mentality, knowing how to move at pace and also when to slow down as well as invest time into crafting unique product experiences.

• Worked in iterative startup environment and are comfortable dealing with ambiguity.

• Experience and is also comfortable sharing strategy visions at all levels of an organisation, in a clear and concise manner.
