About the programme

The programme is for an American financial company based in the USA. They aim to conduct training sessions for their associates with a focus on career acceleration. It encompasses two primary themes:

1. "Owning Your Difference," which delves into the unique lived experiences and backgrounds of individuals from ethnic minorities who find themselves navigating the challenging financial corporate world. The session aims to tap into the facilitators’ experience to recognise the challenges and opportunities that come with navigating this nuanced environment; this session aims to guide learners in harnessing their authenticity as a powerful tool for personal and professional success.

2. "Career Powerup” is about how high-performing individuals within the financial sector encounter unique challenges in their career journeys. Associates look to quickly pick up the skills to excel within a financial firm, the "Career Power-Up" session is tailored to equip the learners with essential tools to plan, execute and set themselves up to consistently deliver by tapping into their recognised strengths and future aspirations.

We’re looking for expert trainers who have extensive financial corporate backgrounds and are ideally based in either Salt Lake City, Dallas or New York for face-to-face delivery.

Skills and experience:

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Someone who has the lived experience of navigating the tough corporate financial landscape
  • Someone who has been able to maintain their authentic self in professional settings, without conforming to conventional norms
  • Someone adept at managing their career and planning for career advancement

Training Delivery: Someone who can

  • Adapt training content to the needs and skill levels of diverse associates

  • Utilise various instructional techniques and delivery methods to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in career development and diversity inclusion.

Facilitation and Engagement: Someone who can

  • Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage active participation and knowledge sharing among participants.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to help associates apply learning concepts to their careers.
  • Assist associates in identifying and leveraging their unique strengths and talents.

Location-specific Responsiveness: Someone who can

  • Understand the unique needs and dynamics of the specific locations (Salt Lake City, Dallas, New York) where associates are based.
  • Tailor training content and delivery approaches to resonate with local cultures and business contexts.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for customising the programme to address regional nuances and challenges.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging: 

  • A minimum of 3 years experience of working within Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and general admission.
  • A secure understanding of how nuances around DEIB impact individuals and structures within organisations.
  • Deep expertise in DEIB methodology and approaches to leadership development at the exec and senior management level

Overall, the trainers should possess strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills, along with a deep understanding of corporate financial environments and career development principles. They should be passionate about empowering individuals to unlock their full potential and thrive in their professional journeys.
