The Galileo System Security Operations Engineer will be part of the Galileo System Security Unit in the Galileo System Security Service, Galileo Project Office, Galileo Programme Department, Directorate of Navigation.

The role: You will be responsible for contributing to the design and definition of security functions at system and segment level, aligning with Galileo system concepts, architecture, integration, verification and validation within the scope of operations. You will also lead the definition, analysis and consolidation of operational requirements for both system and segments, derived from mission/system requirements and operational concepts, encompassing SECOPS, PRS operations and SECMON operations.

Job requirements: A master's in system engineering or a related discipline is required for this post. You must have at least five years of technical experience in a field directly related to the position. You should be able to demonstrate that you can work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure as may typically occur in a project team. You should be result-oriented, able to set priorities, and capable of presenting practical solutions both verbally and in writing. You should have good interpersonal and communication skills. You should have the ability to work autonomously, effectively and cooperatively in a diverse, international team environment, defining and implementing solutions in line with team and individual objectives and project deadlines. You should also have good technical, analytical, organisational and reporting skills, a proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest in innovative technologies. You must be eligible for security clearance from your national security administration.
