Bloomsbury Football Foundation is on an ambitious quest to revolutionize community football. With a new 5-year game plan, our goal is to engage 20,000 young people weekly through localised, quality football initiatives. We are passionate about embedding Bloomsbury Football Communities into the fabric of local areas, ensuring our programs reflect the spirit and needs of the people they serve.

Role Summary:

  • Oversee the management, strategic direction, and expansion of your region.
  • Lead 1-4 localised 'Communities', managing off-pitch operations without coaching responsibilities.
  • Manage full-time coaching teams, schedule football provision, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including parents, schools, and local organisations.

Role Requirements:

  • Ability to make quick, critical decisions and solve problems independently.
  • Team player with the capacity to work alongside other Region Leads and the Regions Manager.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.
  • Knowledge of London's sports landscape is highly desirable.

Bloomsbury Football Foundation is changing the game, and we need great people to help us on our journey! In late 2023, Bloomsbury Football Foundation published its new 5-year game plan with the goal of providing high quality, football provision for 20,000 young people every week. A fundamental part of this game plan lies in Bloomsbury Football Communities. Bloomsbury Football Communities are full-scale community projects that place local roots at the heart of our approach.

The role: As a Region Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management, direction and growth of their region, with each region having 1-4 localised ‘Communities’ by 2028. This role will be off-pitch and there will be no requirement to coach. Key duties include managing all football provision in a region of London, scheduling and leading on a team of full-time coaches, liaising with key stakeholders such as parents, schools, facilities and organisations, and ensuring that the quality of delivery always reaches the standards of the charity.

Job requirements: Essential skills include the ability to think fast and make critical decisions, take initiative to problem-solve, operate in a team-environment and efficiently work with the other Region Leads and Regions Manager, and high levels of proficiency in Microsoft Office. Desirable skills include an in-depth knowledge of the sports landscape in London and the capital as a whole.
