Our operation covers 60 schools (and growing), 180+ incredible part-time Community Connectors (the amazing people who open and close our schools) and thousands of events annually.

We are continually growing the number of schools we partner with. The Operational Project Manager will manage the onboarding process for these schools, including the relationship handover from the sales team and operational aspects of a new school ‘going live’.

What will you be accountable for?

  • Managing each new school as a ‘project’, working through our set process and task list to gather information from the school and input it to our systems.
  • Ensuring the handover of our new Schools is smooth and everything is ready for our Operations Team to take over the relationship when live.
  • Meeting with external stakeholders on a regular basis to keep the project on track and deal with any issues which have arisen.
  • Working with our internal staffing, account management and customer teams to keep the project on track within School Space, keeping different teams accountable to your set deadlines.
  • Process development and continuous improvement of the onboarding process.

How will you know it’s going brilliantly?

  • Each school is ‘on-boarded’ by internal deadline.
  • Internal and external stakeholders report a high level of communication and School Space values are embedded in all levels of the onboarding process.

What will help you succeed in this role?

  • Experience in project management or operations, with an ability to keep track of detail and moving parts in a methodical manner.
  • Ability to manage relationships, ideally with high level stakeholders (and even better if it’s been with schools before!). Diplomacy and the ability to run an effective meeting and establish rapport are key.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Amazing organisational skills and experience using systems such as Trello to keep projects on track.
  • The ability to understand a process quickly and take the lead in ensuring its successful completion.
  • Experience in process development. As a scale up business there is always the opportunity to improve upon our established processes!
