What will you be doing?

Our trustees are asked to assume oversight of governance for the charity. This could be implementing the Neighbourhood Plan, safeguarding, legal compliance, ensuring organisational sustainability, policy review or other projects. Trustees will be expected to:

Attend board meetings and the annual general meetings. Be able to deal with regular correspondence by email and post.

What are we looking for?

Person Specification

Accountancy skills, a demonstration of not-for-profit awareness and knowledge Competent IT skills, with working knowledge of Google Drive and Excel Proven ability to communicate and explain financial information to members of the board and other stakeholders Analytical and evaluation skills, demonstrating sound judgement. Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship and the Treasurer role, in particular, Good communication and leadership skills

  Time Commitment  

The Treasurer will be expected to meet with the Coordinator and Chair every three months. The board meets a maximum of 6 times a year, and the Treasurer is expected to be available for all meetings, in person or virtually, on dates agreed upon in advance. The Treasurer will Chair the Finance Sub-Committee, which meets three times a year, and sit on the HR & Recruitment Sub-Committee, which meets twice a year.

We are a Neighbourhood Planning Forum and a registered charity set up to bring together Harlesden’s diverse community so that we can decide how to make our home a better place to live, work, and leisure and to help us deliver on that vision. The Forum was established in 2014 by local organisations and designated in 2015 by the London Borough of Brent and the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation under the Localism Act 2011.
