The role of the Strategy Manager is to work as part of the Strategy and Research team to support strategic decision making in the organisation and implementation of strategy. You will help the leaders across the organisation to make strategic decisions and work with colleagues to implement those decisions and manage associated changes. You will play a vital role in ensuring cross organisational alignment, guidance and clarity of vision. You will lead, manage and deliver strategic initiatives and organisational priority projects with a focus on new product development. You will bring together strong strategic analysis capabilities with responsive research to support organisational change.

Job requirements include a proficiency in strategic thinking with ability and willingness to challenge the status quo. You should have a proven background in strategy development and experience in conducting research and analysis to inform strategic decision making. Experience of turning strategy into implementable annual plans and projects is essential. You should be experienced at initiating, managing, and delivering projects and have demonstrable experience of stakeholder management, skilled in relationship building, negotiating, and influencing. You should be an effective communicator, in writing & verbally, with the ability to present recommendations for maximum impact. You should be able to manage uncertainty, change, conflict, and sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes.

All roles require that the successful applicant and Teach First make a joint application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a background check. This role requires a Basic DBS check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily exclude you from appointment. This role is based within the UK and every employee is required to supply the appropriate documents to prove that they have the right to work in the UK before and where applicable throughout their employment with Teach First.
