What will you be doing?
GEM is a well-established UK-wide membership organisation that supports everyone delivering learning across museums, heritage and cultural settings. GEM recently joined the Arts Council National Portfolio, receiving regular funding and is also supported by Welsh Government and Museums Galleries Scotland. GEM is looking for someone with financial qualifications and expertise in financial matters, particularly in relation to non-profit or charitable organisations. Responsibilities include: · Providing advice to the board of Trustees on financial matters and assisting the board to fulfill responsibilities for the financial governance and direction of the organisation. · Work in partnership with the Director and Finance Manager to ensure the production of financial documents. · Liaise with the Director and Finance Manager on all financial matters. · To be one of the authorised bank signatories and where necessary, authorise payments according to finance procedures.

We have dedicated representatives across all four Nations of the UK. We provide publications, digital resources and support for sector recruitment. Your assistance on the board will be fundamental in driving the direction of the organisation.
