- Provide comprehensive financial control and support to key finance executives.
- Lead the finance function, defining processes, and playing a pivotal role in its development.
- Manage financial reporting, VAT submissions, R&D tax claims, audits, and more.
- 2-3 years of post-qualification finance experience and an ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Advanced technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines.
- Desirable: Top 6 audit training, startup experience, and familiarity with Accounting Software like Netsuite.

As the Finance Manager at MANUAL, you will be a key member in the team, providing essential support to the Group Financial Controller and VP of Finance. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance control: Month End reporting, VAT submissions, R&D tax claims, balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining accurate accounts and payroll. You will build, lead and maintain the finance function, defining processes and procedures - you will play a key role in shaping the function. This includes producing and interpreting financial reporting both internally and externally when needed, managing the year end audit process as well as any other duties reasonably requested to support the business from a Finance perspective.
Job requirements include 2 to 3 years post qualified experience working in the finance profession, ACA or ACCA qualification, advanced technical skills and analytic skills including Excel/Google Sheet, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines. Desirable skills include Top 6 audited trained with startup experience, a keen interest in health and startups, experience of managing and supporting junior team members, and experience with Accounting Software packages (Netsuite).
