The British Museum is the UK’s leading visitor attraction and welcomes over five million visitors a year. We are looking for a Security First Line Manager to join our Visitor and Security Services Department (VSS).

The role: As a Security First Line Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of the UK’s number one visitor attraction, protecting the Museum, its visitors, staff, and collection. You will manage a team of Security Officers across the Museum site, ensuring that your team always delivers a professional security service, all while managing operational responsibilities and developing and managing your team.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience in line and operational management, managing safety, security and emergency responsibilities and situations. Effective communication skills and the ability to identify opportunities for improving operational delivery are also required. The ability to motivate a diverse team is essential.
