- Lead engaging community programs related to urban rewilding in Allestree Park and Derby City.

We’re looking for an inspiring and passionate Wilder Connections Officer to lead a programme of work to engage communities with our urban rewilding programmes at Allestree Park and across Derby City. In the Wilder Communities Team our purpose is to work collaboratively and inclusively to ensure that everyone can have the opportunity to notice and connect with nature, wherever they live. By achieving this we will improve health and wellbeing through connecting more people to nature.
In this role you’ll inspire and enable people to be involved in nature recovery projects, Junior Rangers, Nature Tots and school visits. You will develop the site experience, with a focus on accessibility, interpretation and imagination as well as planning and delivering high quality events within Derby City.
To be successful you will be passionate about improving people’s wellbeing through nature connection and inspiring others to care and act for nature. You are confident in engaging and informing groups from all backgrounds. You have significant experience of leading nature-based outdoor activities for varying groups. You have experience of making an outdoor setting accessible and enjoyable for a range of audiences. You have experience of working with community groups to help them take action for nature.
