- Role Summary - Lead and motivate a team of 6 in the Multihead department, manage health and safety, oversee quality control and production planning, drive operational excellence, and foster team development and engagement.
- Role Requirements - Previous people management experience, ideally in a values-led organization, operations, warehouse, or production environment knowledge, health and safety awareness, proficiency in English and numeracy, and excellent time management and organizational skills.

Production Team Manager - Multihead
Location – Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon
Hours - Working Saturday - Wednesday PM shift 2:30pm - 10:30pm. Part time working will be considered working 32 hours with a Sunday off.

What you’ll be doing…
- Team Leadership & Motivation: Lead a dynamic team of 6 individuals in the Multihead department,
- Health & Safety Management: Demonstrate commitment to health and safety initiatives through active engagement in daily huddles, administrative tasks, and thorough inspections. Uphold meticulous record-keeping and proactive involvement in essential activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control & Production Planning: Implement a systematic approach to managing quality concerns, introducing relevant KPIs and conducting daily updates and discussions. Develop a robust production plan, evaluate current status, and bridge gaps while ensuring high service standards through consistent communication with stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Drive achievement of objectives by updating SQDCM boards, setting clear team goals, and implementing SOPs and KPIs for operational excellence. Foster problem-solving abilities and document for continuous improvement, actively engaging in data collection to aid informed decision-making.
- Team Development & Engagement: Engage in recruitment and identify developmental opportunities within the team. Provide constructive feedback, address diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and involve the team in enhancing performance and resolving conflicts for a productive team dynamic.
Skills & experience
- People management experience in a values-led organisation would be ideal.
- Proven experience of working within an Operations/Warehouse/Production environment is preferable.
- A good level of Health & Safety understanding in a production environment would be beneficial.
- A good standard of English literacy - written and verbal and numeracy skills are required.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
