Role Summary:
- Take charge of the technical workstreams for an upcoming major AI drug discovery programme for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
- Lead the design and implementation of this multiyear, multimillion-pound innovation project within Nesta's Challenge Works.
Role Requirements:
- Passion for innovation and significant experience in managing complex data projects.
- Expertise in the health data or biomedical sector, focusing on AI and big data.
- Proven track record of leading technical project delivery.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AI, big data practices, cloud computing, and data standards.

The Role We are recruiting for a Data Programme Lead to join Challenge Works. Challenge Works is world-leading in the development and implementation of high-impact challenge prizes that attract and enable innovation to solve pressing societal problems. We are looking for an experienced health data specialist with strong programme management skills to lead the technical workstreams of a multiyear, multi million pound innovation programme in AI drug discovery for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) launching later in 2024.
Job Requirements The successful candidate will be passionate about innovation and have leadership experience in the design and delivery of complex data projects. Technical Experience working in data-focused biomedical/ health research sector, leading technical project delivery. Demonstrable broad technical knowledge and understanding of topics such as; AI big data practice, data types, cloud computing, trusted research environments, data safe havens, and data standards.
Benefits Salary: £63k - £76.5k (offers are expected to be made towards the bottom of the band, depending on experience) plus array of benefits, including private medical insurance, dental insurance, the ability to buy and sell annual leave, eyecare vouchers and more.
