Frome Town Council is an ambitious and proactive Council that works closely with local people to build community resilience and address the climate and ecological emergencies.
You have a unique opportunity to join our team and to drive forward Frome Town Council’s work to address the climate emergency and to support the coordination of town-wide action in Frome.
We are part way through delivering the Green and Healthy Frome project which is Lotto funded and you will be central to ensuring it is successfully completed. In addition, you will guide our work over the next five years and through skilled community engagement develop a new and ambitious town-wide climate adaptation and mitigation strategy. You will then support the coordination of action by organisations in the town to implement it.
You will have tangible experience of running climate action projects and building community resilience. You will have knowledge of best practice in community engagement and have the proven ability to develop strategies, plans, policies, and work programmes. You will be confident in providing advice and guidance to this council and the community to help us drive forward our climate action strategy.
In return you will be contributing to the health and wellbeing of the residents of Frome and making positive climate action changes for years to come.
Frome Town Council is a great place to work. It is a supportive environment that provides a generous pension contribution of 22.3%, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, flexible working arrangements and good training and development opportunities.
