What will you be doing?

We welcome your interest! You would join an active board of eight members who are supported in various ways by volunteers from within the choir. We are in the business of planning and organising concerts, ensuring that the members have a enriching experience and can perform a wide repertoire to a high standard.  The current Board are all singing members of the choir who were elected at an AGM.  To start with we would co-opt you for a trial period (for you and for us). following which you would be asked to join as a non-singing member.  As a skilled practitioner from outside our singing membership, your objective contribution to our financial planning and ongoing strategic development will be particularly valued.

What are we looking for?

Skills

Good communication Database / CRM development Bookkeeping Financial management Creativity

Experience

Charity management and operations Audit preparation  Financial reporting to 'lay' members of the Board

What difference will you make?

We are committed to making our financial information as transparent and understandable as possible to the general membership, i.e. outside the Board.  This will be part of our goal to help all members feel closer to the decision making and management of LFC. We need a Treasurer who can keep stable financial oversight and who is able to provide regular financial information to Trustees and members clearly.
