Location: To support a healthy work-life balance, we kindly ask that candidates live within a 25-mile commute of our farm in Devon: Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU
This is a Permanent Contract, 48 hours, 5-6 days per week working Monday to Friday (inclusive of bank holidays) including, Saturdays to Sundays on rotation. This role will include overnight stays and you'll spend on average 3 nights away per week, which may increase to 5 nights based on requirement. Start and finish times vary, which finishes early hours of the morning – flexibility is required.
Pay: £41,409 per annum with potential to earn more through overnight stays and overtime when offered.
What you’ll be doing…
As an HGV Driver with Riverford, you’ll be a vital part of our operation, ensuring our award-winning veg boxes reach distribution hubs across the UK. You’ll be driving Class 1 refrigerated trailers, handling both deliveries and collections. In some locations, you’ll also manage loading and unloading using pallet trucks and counterbalance forklifts. This role is physically demanding, requiring independence and resilience—perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility and variety in their work.
Skills & experience…
- Must hold Class 1 licence (no more than 6 penalty points)
- Driving a goods vehicle minimum 1 year (preferred)
- Valid DCPC
- Counterbalance and powered forklift certificates preferred but not essential as training can be given
