- On-site and workshop maintenance of customer coffee machines

The role As the Field and Workshop Technician, you'll be based in London - Leyton, with primary responsibilities for maintaining customer coffee machines both on-site and in the workshop. Duties include receipting goods, completing paperwork, dismantling machines for repair, troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, replacing parts, and preparing machines for dispatch and installation. You'll also clean parts to ensure proper functionality. This role involves managing a constant workflow, prioritising tasks, and supporting the field team in maintaining customer machines. It's a developmental position, with 1-2 days in the workshop and the rest in the field. You may also reinstall equipment you've serviced. Training includes time with our Workshop Coordinator and Senior Technician, followed by independent work. We offer regular upskilling sessions, both in-house and external. A hybrid van is provided for work use, with ongoing support from our experienced team.
Job requirements Mechanical experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Barista training is beneficial, as familiarity with espresso machines is valuable, but training will be provided if needed. Demonstrable experience working independently and as part of a team aligned with core values and business objectives. Ideally, understanding of the goods-in and goods-out process. Acute attention to detail with the ability to identify anomalies and mistakes. Ability to follow company systems and processes. Strong time management skills. Efficiency, effectiveness, and organisation in both digital and practical tasks. Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to handle early mornings or late evenings as needed. Ability to work independently, building rapport and relationships with key suppliers and colleagues. Excellent verbal communication skills, with a friendly, professional, and accommodating manner. Full UK Driving License.
