A bit about Aéto.

Aéto translates to “that’s it.” It’s the aha or uh-oh moment. It’s the ‘thing’ that might otherwise go unrecognised or unnoticed. Or it’s the critical point of differentiation. We exist to find the Aéto moment.

How? We have developed a suite of diagnostics and processes that enable us to find the moments that matter most in our clients’ workplace experience journeys, helping them navigate the complex relationship between employees and the physical environments that support their work. We synthesise those findings and turn them into actionable insights that help our clients deliver workplaces that offer outstanding employee experiences.

What you will be doing:

Aéto is a small company with big ambitions. We’re currently a team of 6, who have all worked with data analysts. With Aéto we want to go further. You would be the pioneering Data Scientist to join our team. This role is essential to our business, not only to deliver insights to our customers but also to co-develop our company’s strategic direction and product offering. This means that your days would be varied from doer to strategic thinker and the scope of your role can develop over time. If you think this is exciting, keep reading. We’ve captured below some of the tasks that you will own, but we truly believe that the right person will add their own stamp.

You will:

  • Understand, analyse and translate the data we receive from clients (e.g. employee experience surveys, occupancy sensors, room booking data, etc.) to find “the needles in the haystack” and turn this into storytelling via our reports and data outputs.
  • Set up Aéto’s data insights capabilities (we currently use Tableau) to streamline collecting, storing, processing and reporting on the various types of structured and unstructured data we receive from clients.
  • Assess our current ways of working and bring efficiency to data analysis/ reporting including suggestions to use new methods and software (e.g. Generative AI) as well as new services we could bring to market.
  • Lead the data exchange between our clients and us, aligning with the client’s data team to extract the right data for our analysis.

Why should you join Aéto?

  • You will be able to apply your skills to help employees all over the world get the supportive workplace experience they deserve.
  • We believe business should be used as a force for good and are working towards B Corp certification. If you don’t know about it yet, you can learn more about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY_AEvvFQ9U
  • You’ll be working across the business and be at the heart of our company’s development. We are a small team but have very different backgrounds, which always brings new perspective to the work we do.
  • We are a group of rapid learners and the opportunities to test and learn, educate and build relationships are endless.
  • We are currently remote-first so you will be primarily home-based. However, we really value in-person collaboration and meet up at least once a month in an inspiring location. And we all love to eat good food, so a delicious lunch is always on the agenda.
  • We are all accountable to one another and will trust you to do the work you need to do.

To enjoy the role and be successful at it, we believe that you should:

  • Have 5 years minimum experience as data analyst/scientist.
  • Have a strong desire to play a key role in a purpose-driven organisation and a penchant for exceeding expectations.
  • Be proficient with Tableau / Power BI and understand database structures and an eye for creating appealing data visualisations.
  • Have great written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable working directly with clients.
  • Be a self-starter who is keen to take initiative and ownership. You love to bring fresh ideas for how we can process data and create valuable insights for our clients.
  • Work well within a team and enjoy supporting and collaborating with other teams, as we will be broadening our client offering on data investigations and drive initiatives through the business.

By joining Aéto, you’ll get:

  • 30 days paid leave per year
  • Flexible working options
  • Private medical insurance
  • 3 days paid community service per year
  • Continuous Professional Development opportunities
  • Option to take unpaid leave (to be discussed and agreed with your manager)
  • Access to the Cycle to work scheme
  • Access to a workplace nursery scheme

The interview process:

We tend to act very quickly when we think that we’ve found the right person. However, as a standard you can expect:

  • To meet everyone during the process, either virtually or in-person.
  • To complete a PRISM profile. This isn’t a test, there are no right or wrong answers, it just helps us to get to know you.
  • To carry out a technical exercise.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (minimum 24 hours/week) role.

We celebrate diversity at Aéto and are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
