  • Lead the physiotherapy services for the England Lions during their tour.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage player injuries.
  • Provide emergency care and support alongside the Lions Doctor.
  • Conduct player profiling, data management and communicate results effectively.
  • Collaborate with players' Counties on injury management and reporting.
  • Develop physical preparation programs with the S&C Coach and ECB staff.
  • Maintain workload monitoring records as per program requirements.
  • Contribute to the Sports Medicine and Science team, supporting player wellbeing.
  • Experience in professional cricket physiotherapy and team leadership.
  • Experience with overseas tours is beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of elite cricket performance.
  • Expertise in physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletes, particularly in cricket.
  • Relevant professional qualifications, including Chartered Physiotherapist status, HCPC registration, advanced Emergency Care qualification, and DBS check.

YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Lead physiotherapy service and support in the assessment, diagnosis and management of all injuries, including required record-keeping.

  • To provide and assist Lions Doctor with Emergency Care.

  • Deliver profiling of players as required, keeping necessary data and communicating results with all player stake holders.

  • To communicate regularly and effectively with players’ Counties in regard to injuries and management, including interim correspondence and contribution to end of tour reports/handovers.

  • Work with Lions S&C Coach and ECB staff to provide and deliver physical preparation programs to players.

  • To maintain monitoring records (such as workload) as required by the programme.

  • To play an active role in the S&M team including involvement in wellbeing support and observations of players.

YOU’LL HAVE

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Current or previous experience working in professional cricket.

  • Leadership of S&M team/Physiotherapy service.

  • Experience of overseas touring beneficial.

  • Knowledge of elite cricket performance.

  • Experience and knowledge of working with developing athletes, especially in cricket.

  • Demonstrable high quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation skills.

    Professional Qualifications:

  • Satisfy requirements for Physiotherapist working in elite cricket as per the ECB S&M Audit and Review (Chartered Physiotherapist, HCPC registration, advanced Emergency Care qualification, Disclosure and Barring Service check

YOU’LL RECEIVE

  • £280 day rate for all matches, training and screening days. Please notes general perks may not be applicable for consultant and secondment roles.

Please note that:

1.   If successful, along with insurance and certificates associated with your role, we will require confirmation that you satisfy requirements for Physiotherapist working in elite cricket as per the ECB S&M Audit and Review (Chartered Physiotherapist, HCPC registration, advanced Emergency Care qualification, Disclosure and Barring Service check).
