Community Energy England is seeking a Community Energy Advisor for Northern Powergrid. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that operates on a purely not-for-profit basis, with all of our income used to fund our activities working on behalf of the community energy sector.
The role entails providing advisory support to community energy leaders from across the Northern Powergrid region. This includes facilitating connections with relevant Northern Powergrid technical colleagues and providing advice on engagement, governance, policy and practice for successful community energy schemes and enabling a just transition. The successful candidate will also work with our analytical teams to develop a framework for identifying communities most in need of support and deliver Community Energy Audits to identified communities.
Job requirements include the ability to gather intelligence about local and national funding schemes for decarbonisation initiatives and support communities to access these. The candidate will also work with the Regional Engagement team to integrate community energy needs alongside system development, feeding into their work with Local Authorities.
The benefits of this role include a competitive salary of up to £35,000 (dependent on experience), a bonus yield of up to 10% and a company car allowance.
