- Develop essential software tools including dashboards, real-time control interfaces, and data logging systems.
- Enhance error handling and notification systems to ensure robustness.
- Design and implement modular databases, APIs, and authentication methods.
- Work with socket API for real-time dashboard connectivity.
- Manage distributed database deployment, backups, and merging.
- Establish a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for distributed systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development.
- Expertise in Typescript, Nodejs, Nextjs, and a compiled language such as Go, Rust, C, or Zig.
- Proficiency in MySQL, Docker, docker compose, and Airgapped Systems.
- Experience with CICD Deployment, both AWS and self-hosted environments.
- Familiarity with Chartjs, Drizzle, Lucia auth, ts-rest, fastify, distributed systems, TCPIP socket management, Wireguard, and IT infrastructure is a plus.

Rivan Industries (Rivan.com) is a synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise heavy industry. We’ve developed a unique power-to-fuel machine built for low-capex deployment powered entirely by utility-scale solar. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping the CO2 locked underground.
The role entails developing dashboards, real-time controls interface for machinery, live/historical data logging & plotting, detailed logging & error handing for client/server, error stacktraces, notification & warning system, modular database & api design, client/server authentication methods, socket API connection for realtime dashboards, distributed DB deployment backup & merging, and setting up CI/CD pipeline for distributed deployment. You will work across sub-system teams to give ability to develop & modify each system quickly.
Job requirements include 3+ years of professional experience, proficiency in Typescript, Nodejs, Nextjs, a compiled language (Go / Rust / C / Zig), MySQL, Docker & docker compose, Airgapped Systems, CICD Deployment (AWS & Self Hosted). Preferable skills include Chartjs, Drizzle, Lucia auth, ts-rest, fastify, distributed & modular monolith, TCPIP socket management (compiled language), Wireguard, and general IT infra – Network switches, machine backups, ssh.
