Role Requirements:Proven experience with CRM Salesforce systems.Competency in Salesforce development, including Apex, Aura, and Lightning Web Components.Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.Familiarity with project management and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.Desirable: Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and working in agile or non-profit sectors.
This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Salesforce Developer will join the Technology team at an exciting time as we implement and develop transformational products that drive Comic Relief’s work and enable teams across the organisation to be data-driven and achieve strategic objectives. This role will be instrumental in enabling continual development and optimisation of our existing and newly implemented Salesforce products, working alongside dedicated product managers, engineers and key business users.
The successful candidate will work closely with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, including Fundraising, Partnerships, Grant Management, Technology and Data, to deliver system improvements and ensure best practise across our Salesforce ecosystem. In this role you will have the opportunity to expand your existing working knowledge of Salesforce platforms into the charity sector.
Interviews are expected to take place on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th of Februarys.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
System development
• Deliver business critical system improvements, including managing lightning pages, layouts, flows, validation rules, objects and fields.
• Design, develop, document, and test system requirements and changes in accordance with the product roadmap.
System maintenance
• Optimise and maintain Salesforce products by validating business requirements and addressing considerations such as security, scalability, and limitations.
• Create and maintain high quality technical documentation on system changes and functionality improvements and support business owners in maintaining systems.
• Monitor security of systems, data and safeguarding of sensitive information.
• Build effective working relationships with external partners and third party developers to effectively deliver updates and upgrades as required, and in line with our service agreements.
System integrations
• Manage integrations with external systems and Salesforce apps to ensure seamless flows of data and enhanced productivity.
• Develop and monitor third party data transformation tool, Clarity Data Transform, as part of maintaining Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and Marketing Cloud integrations.
Drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with Product Managers to effectively prioritise deliverables and feed into the product roadmaps and strategy.
• Help the business to understand the effort, risk, and impact of making changes.
• Contribute to and support the team to ensure Comic Relief’s Salesforce products are reliable, secure, and resilient, and solutions enable end users to achieve business objectives.
Champion best practise
• Ensure a good understanding of all features of Salesforce products, both technical and non-technical.
• Drive issue resolution; develop Salesforce knowledge, troubleshoot issues and communicate features and technical alternatives.
• Gain a deep understanding of processes and actively champion the best use of technology within teams while adopting an approach of continual improvement.
• Research and participate in training and stay current on related issues and technologies.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential criteria
• Experience with CRM Salesforce systems.
• Experience developing Salesforce products, including knowledge of Apex Classes and triggers, custom user interface development, Aura Components and Lightning Web Components.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and end users.
• Experience with handling system changes using project management tools and ticketing systems (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Salesforce certifications or other relevant qualifications.
Desirable criteria
• Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud preferrable.
• Experience of working in an agile environment preferrable but not essential.
• Experience working in the non-profit sector
