What will you be doing?
We are looking for a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to help us enhance our volunteer programme, build meaningful partnerships, and engage with our volunteers and corporate sponsors. What we need you to do:
Develop and roll out a structured volunteer programme, including onboarding processes and helping the Founder to create volunteering opportunities with schools and colleges. Strengthen relationships with corporate sponsors, keeping them updated on their impact and ensuring they gain value from their contributions. Encourage alumni and wider network members to participate in volunteering and leverage connections with their employers to explore sponsorship opportunities.
Key deliverables:
A fully operational volunteer programme with opportunities that engage alumni, volunteers, and corporate sponsors. Strong, collaborative relationships with schools, colleges, and community organisations to support volunteering activities. Improved partner engagement through regular updates and impactful reporting.
Who you will work with:You’ll work closely with our Founder & CEO alongside volunteers and external stakeholders, including schools, colleges, and corporate sponsors. Flexibility in the role:While this description outlines key tasks, we’re open to your ideas and expertise to shape the role further. This role can be split however you wish in terms of time. We expect roughly 5 hrs per week, done remotely.
What are we looking for?
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and stakeholders efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build relationships, convey ideas clearly, and engage volunteers, alumni, and corporate partners. The ability to build connections with a wide range of people, including schools, colleges, corporate sponsors, and volunteers. Competence in managing administrative tasks, email communications, including tracking activities and maintaining records.
Experience:
Experience in recruiting, onboarding, or coordinating volunteers. Experience in building partnerships with educational institutions or community groups is a plus. Familiarity with working alongside corporate sponsors or partners to manage relationships and showcase impact is advantageous.
Qualities:
A genuine interest in supporting young people and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups. A team player who works well with others and values diverse perspectives. Open to adapting to the needs of the role and bringing creative ideas to the table. Understanding and approachable, with a focus on building positive and supportive relationships.
