  • Role Summary:
    • Scout and book high-quality artists and venues.
    • Work alongside the London Booker to enhance the artist & host network.
    • Manage relationships and foster engagement with artists & hosts.
    • Update directories and concert plans.
    • Handle last-minute cancellations and find replacements.
    • Assist with reviews of artist and venue applications.
    • Conduct venue visits and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Role Requirements:
    • 1+ years of experience in operations, logistics, event production, or administrative tasks.
    • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of London's cultural scene, particularly music and arts.
    • A commitment to quality in high-volume environments.
    • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for learning.
    • Previous experience in the events industry or hospitality is a plus.

The Role

As a Booking Intern, you’ll manage various aspects of artist & host network growth, retention, relationship management, and booking. You’ll be responsible for scouting and booking high-quality artists and spaces, working directly with the London Booker.

You’ll join a team of passionate, creative folks that are ensuring the success of thousands of Sofar shows around the world. This is a phenomenal opportunity for folks who live and breathe music (bonus points for having an ear for identifying strong artists!), understand logistics and events, and want to further their career in booking. 

The ideal candidate is based in London and can commit to 10 hours per week. This internship is a 4 month fixed-term contract and will require some weekend availability.

What you'll do:

Proactive scouting of artists and venues, working with the London Booker to fill key gaps in our existing network Develop authentic, trust-based relationships with artists & hosts to facilitate feedback, engagement, and retention Maintain and update artist and venue directories and the concert planner Manage last-minute venue, artist and crew cancellations, finding replacements as needed Review artist and venue applications in collaboration with the London Booker, ensuring Sofar’s commitment to artist and venue quality Review artist and venue set-ups in advance of shows to ensure our local crew have all of the information they need to deliver a high quality experience in the room Conduct venue visits, be well versed on health & safety standards for venues, and make sure our hosts are meeting local regulations

Who you are:

You have 1+ years of experience in operations, logistics, event production, and/or administrative responsibilities You’re a clear written communicator with exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines You have a strong understanding of the local cultural scene in London (music and arts preferred) You’re highly organizational, and can easily maintain efficient operations and systems You have a track record of upholding quality – even in high volume environments You have a strong sense of ownership; self-motivated with a willingness and eagerness to learn You have a passion for the events industry, with previous hospitality experience a plus
