Role Summary:Skippers will enhance their skills in various sailing maneuvers, technical yacht knowledge, and familiarize themselves with key Croatian ports to ensure guests have an exceptional charter experience.Hosts will master the art of onboard hospitality, from cooking in a yacht's galley to ensuring guests' satisfaction throughout their holiday, all while exploring beautiful sailing destinations.
Role Requirements:Skippers must possess a navigational sailing license and have prior sailing experience.Hosts should have experience in catering or a chef background, with the ability to prepare food in a maritime setting.
Application Process Details:Prospective candidates must complete a comprehensive training course, culminating in a pass/fail assessment.Successful candidates will be extended the opportunity to join Yacht Week as a skipper or host for the summer season.
Yacht Week Academy is looking for skippers and hosts to work year round.
The Organisation: Yacht Week Academy is powered by our in-house training company Quarterdeck. We are a private limited company registered in Stockholm, Sweden. We act as a travel agent on the behalf of Yacht Week.
The Role: As a skipper, you must have sailing experience and a navigational sailing license. A background in racing dinghies, keelboat cruising or similar is ideal. During the course, you will practice all from single handed moorings to circle rafts and technical yacht knowledge. You will visit and learn about the main ports in Croatia and prepare you for your first charter.
As a host, you must have some experience in catering and preparing food in a work environment. A background as a chef is ideal. The course will prepare you for working and living on a yacht for a summer season. You’ll learn all the tips and tricks of how to cook on board a sailing yacht, how to give your crew an amazing week of holiday as well as seeing the most common ports we sail to.
Job Requirements: For skippers, a navigational sailing license and sailing experience is required. For hosts, experience in catering and preparing food in a work environment is required.
