Role Summary

The British Museum is looking for a full-time Administrator for Collection Projects and Resources.
The role: As an Administrator, you will work within administrative teams distributed across the departments of Collection Care and Scientific Research, providing administrative support. Your key areas of responsibility will include financial administration (expenses, raising purchase orders), internal reporting, public enquiries (including FOI requests and export licensing), managing travel bookings, health and safety and fire safety compliance, managing facilities, and equipment, and facilitating and supporting events.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate should have five GCSEs or equivalent qualifications including Maths and English, ability to maintain effective administrative procedures, ability to synthesise and report on information orally and in writing, confident user of ICT, experience of financial administration, ability to manage competing demands changing priorities and requirements, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
