The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) is the world leader in applying behavioural science to public policy challenges in order to strengthen communities and improve lives. We design and rigorously test new ideas across a range of areas such as employment, health, crime and education, to establish what works and what doesn’t. We have helped Tuberculosis patients take their medicine; reduced police susceptibility to cyberattacks; and helped organisations close their gender pay gap.

The role entails working on improving outcomes within economic growth, employment, equality, diversity and inclusion, finance, and digital markets. The successful candidate will be placed either in the Employment & Equalities or Financial Behaviour & Gambling Harms sub-team, depending on candidate expertise and business needs. You will play a fundamental role in delivering projects across the different policy areas covered by the team. You will work closely with BIT’s clients and partners, delivering project components such as exploratory research, rapid literature reviews and development of behavioural solutions.

Job requirements include understanding key behavioural science concepts and can contribute to designing interventions. You should have experience applying your skills across different contexts and you can demonstrate ability to grasp new subject areas quickly. You are also willing to work across different topics. You can manage your own time effectively to produce high quality work within agreed timeframes and work collaboratively with colleagues.
