The role: As a Curator for the Greek World, you will undertake high-profile research into, and make publicly accessible, the Greek collections and other related collections across the Museum. You will also make a major contribution to the management and leadership of the Museum in support of the Museum Operating Plan and all relevant Museum strategies.

Key areas of responsibility: You will lead major research projects on, and beyond, the Greek collection including projects involving external partners. You will also raise money to support research projects on and beyond the Greek collection, including projects involving external partners. You will make the Greek collection publicly accessible via high-profile publication, digital, display, and broadcast projects. You will also contribute significantly to the management of the Museum, leading, managing and motivating curatorial and research teams, including responsibility for managing performance and supporting professional development. You will lead on up-grading the documentation of the Greek collection.

Job requirements: You should have a Doctorate and post-doctoral experience (or equivalent). You should be an externally recognized authority in ancient Greek history and archaeology with a track record in securing research grants and income generation. You should have experience of working with museum collections and displays and the ability to lead and manage curatorial and research teams.
