ISSOS is looking for a Head Female Counselor to join our team. We are an award-winning company that provides a unique, high-quality summer school experience for international students. We are passionate about providing a safe, fun and rewarding environment where students can learn, grow and make lasting friendships.
The role involves managing, motivating, supervising and leading a team of 15 Counselors in their daily roles and responsibilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and safety of up to 150 international students, aged 13-18. This includes dealing with any disciplinary issues with regard to both students and counselors if they occur. You and your team of Counselors will be responsible for running the sporting activities, the evening programmes and the cultural trips.
Job requirements include previous experience working with young people, fluency in English, and preferably previous people management experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young people, hard working, reliable, a clear and effective communicator, and able to address difficult situations in a calm and professional manner.
The role is based in St Andrews from 25th June - 14th August 2025. We provide accommodation in all locations for all staff. Meals are provided in the halls of residence once students arrive, however, staff are responsible for their meals during Orientation. ISSOS will cover the majority of travel expenses to/from campus.
