The organisation - ISSOS is an international summer school offering a range of academic and elective programs. We are committed to providing a safe, fun, and challenging environment for students to learn and grow.
The role - As the Film Teacher, you will lead your students through a range of seminars and hands-on technical training in all aspects of film production. This includes script writing, directing, production management, cinematography, editing, location scouting, and set design. You will be teaching a class of international students, 3 hours per day, 4 afternoons per week for the duration of the 3 week programme. You will also be required to take part in evening activities on a compulsory rota basis and ensure the safety and happiness of students at all times.
Job requirements - Applicants must have expert knowledge of cameras and film production, with previous experience working on a film set preferable. Previous teaching experience is essential, and experience in teaching international students is preferred. Applicants must be fluent in English and either be a UK or a US citizen, or have the legal right to work in the country they are applying for a role in. Please note that we cannot sponsor visas for working in the UK.
Benefits - We provide accommodation for all staff. Meals are provided in the halls of residence once students arrive, however, staff are responsible for their meals during Orientation. Travel reimbursements and any finders’ fees are paid separately.
