The organisation - ISSOS is an international summer school that offers a balanced summer program of academia, fun and culture for 13–18 year olds from over 80 nationalities, at St Andrews, Cambridge and Yale universities.
The role - As a Creative Writing Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a class of international students, 3 hours per day, every weekday morning for the duration of the 3-week programme. You will be creating and executing interesting and engaging lesson plans. You will also be required to take part in evening activities on a compulsory rota basis and ensure that students are safe and happy at all times. You will also contribute a short article for our summer magazine, The ISSOS Times.
Job requirements - Previous teaching experience is essential. Experience in teaching international students is preferred. You must have strong knowledge and skills in a variety of writing techniques and must be fluent in English.
Benefits - The role offers a salary of £2050 GBP per session ( £4100 GBP for the full contract). Up to £150 is reimbursed for travel to/from St Andrews. Accommodation and meals are provided in the halls of residence once students arrive.
