The British Museum is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Information Services (IS) department as an IS Administrator. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31 July 2026, offering a salary of £28,144 per annum.
As the IS Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of our Information Services department. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of administrative tasks, including financial administration, office management, and reporting. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams and gain exposure to various aspects of administrative management.
Key areas of responsibility include Financial Administrative Support, Office Administration, Performance Reporting, Office Organisation, and Meeting Support. You will be expected to manage financial tasks, handle invoices, expenses, travel claims, and supplier inquiries, maintain smooth office operations, provide performance reports, and manage office space.
The ideal candidate should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, have relevant administrative experience, and be able to work to tight time and delivery deadlines. Good time management, oral and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail are essential.
