The British Museum is seeking a Commercial Hire Administrator. This is a part-time role, working 21.6 hours per week. The salary is £28,144 per annum pro rata.

The role: As an Administrator in the Commercial Hire department, you will be responsible for effectively managing the organisation, paperwork, and operations to support the delivery of commercial events and filming. You will ensure both internal and external users receive a consistently high level of service. You will liaise with clients and suppliers to identify their requirements while managing the support services to meet those needs. Additionally, you will ensure that all paperwork and clearances are completed and filed to enable the smooth operational delivery of events.

Job requirements: You will have A-Level or equivalent qualifications, including O-Level/GCSE Maths and English. You possess experience in coordinating conferences or events and managing the associated support services. You are knowledgeable about health and safety issues and are computer literate. You have some project management experience and excel in client/customer management. You can manage multiple tasks or events simultaneously is outstanding. You effectively liaise with a diverse range of people, including external clients and suppliers, while also addressing the needs of internal contacts at all levels. You are a clear communicator, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
