What will you be doing?

We are rapidly expanding our operations, and have begun to take on further trustees as we continue to diversify our board and bring in a range of experiences. Lived experience of disability is very welcome but not required; professional experience relevant to fundraising is essential and accountancy experience is an asset. Candidates should be seeking a longer-term commitment of at least 3 years.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for trustees with at least 2 and ideally more years of experience in fundraising or finance within the charities sector. We would be especially interested in anyone who has experience of working with the disabled community. Knowledge of data privacy and GDPR regulations is also an asset.  If you have lived experience of disability this is welcomed, and please let us know if you require any adjustments, either as part of your application or in the role. If you have experience in another area of the sector, please still get in touch as we would love to hear from you.  Please note that we operate entirely virtually, so these roles can be carried out from anywhere in the UK. Our meetings are typically in the early evenings or on the weekends. We would ask trustees to attend an AGM and other meetings as/when needed (eg with the finance team to offer advice on a bid).

What difference will you make?

Our trustees will help us to remain accountable and put in place structures and systems to continue growing in a way that is sustainable. You will work with our finance team to support with grant applications and diversifying our income streams, ensuring we are able to continue growing at such a rapid rate and supporting young disabled people.
