What will you be doing?

Art & Soul is a Richmond-based charity with over 20 years’ experience improving mental health and community connection through creativity. We’ve delivered 300+ therapist-led workshops and 20+ exhibitions, with each session showing an average 34% uplift in wellbeing (UCL Wellbeing Measure). We are seeking a Treasurer to provide financial oversight and guidance as we grow. This role includes:

Reviewing budgets, management accounts, cashflow and reserves Supporting the Chair and Programme Director Liaising with external accountants Presenting financial information clearly to the Board Advising on fundraising and income generation Offering mentoring or support to improve financial literacy within the organisation

Commitment is approx. 4–6 hours per month, including four evening Board meetings (online or in Richmond) and attendance at at least one workshop, exhibition or event each year.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant, or someone with equivalent financial experience. Knowledge of charity finance (SORP) is desirable but not essential. Previous Trustee or Treasurer experience is welcome, though not required – we’ll provide a supportive induction. We particularly welcome candidates who:

Have experience in financial management, charity accounts, or governance Understand or have lived experience of mental health challenges Are willing to mentor colleagues on financial matters
