Omnea is a fast-growing Series A B2B business in Europe, backed by tier-1 VCs like Accel, First Round, & Point Nine. We are revolutionizing the way businesses make purchases by providing a platform that handles the entire purchasing process, giving employees an easy place to make requests, managing the necessary approvals for the purchase to be made, and automating all renewals management & supplier risk assessments.

As our first Engineering Manager, you will partner with our VP Engineering and establish Engineering Management at Omnea. You will take profound ownership across people, process and technology as part of our Engineering leadership team. As we grow from tens to hundreds of enterprise customers and through 10x revenue growth in the next 2-3 years, you'll play a crucial role in building and leading the best Engineering function in its category.

You will be responsible for multiple teams, ensuring we deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining the velocity needed in a fast-growing environment. You will have high autonomy but high collaboration with a VP Engineering with a track record of building & scaling teams of 100+ from Series A to pre-IPO at a tech unicorn.

We are looking for someone with 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years managing engineering teams. You should have a strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern web technologies and a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture (preferably AWS), and scalability challenges. Experience with our stack (TypeScript, React, AWS Serverless) is a plus but not required.

We work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in-person at our offices. At this early stage of our company life-cycle it's important to us that we get this together-time.
