About the Role We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to help shape the future of Mr & Mrs Smith. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring strategic alignment across the business, and scaling our operations to support long-term growth. Since our acquisition by Hyatt, we are entering a new phase of growth, with a strong focus on digital innovation, B2B partnerships, and expanding to new markets, without ever compromising our brand and curation standards.

The role Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Smith Operating Leadership Team (SOLT), you’ll be a unifying force across departments—ensuring strategies are joined up, delivery is seamless, and the right infrastructure is in place for teams to thrive. You will be a trusted operational partner to the CEO, helping to translate the strategic vision into focused execution, and providing clarity, calm and challenge where needed.

Job requirements Experience 8+ years in operational leadership, with at least 3 years in a senior role. Background in travel, hospitality, or a similarly complex, customer-centric industry. Proven success scaling operations into new markets, managing cross-functional teams, and leading strategic delivery. Skills & Expertise Strategic, analytical, and solutions-focused, with a strong grasp of commercial operations. Skilled in performance reporting, project delivery, and stakeholder communication. Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments using agile, collaborative approaches. Solid understanding of global operations and travel distribution dynamics. Strong financial and data literacy with experience in budgeting and cost optimisation.
