Role Summary
- Lead and guide our Project Management team.
- Take helm on principal client projects, surpassing customer expectations.
- Own and improve key delivery metrics and KPIs for all our projects.
- Bridging the gap with our product team to identify new product possibilities.
- Work in tandem with the Customer team to incorporate evolving customer expectations into superior service delivery processes.
Role Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in localisation with 5 years in leading project management teams.
- Dubbing and media localisation experience is mandatory.
- Commanding project management skills, along with the ability to mentor and manage highly competent project management teams.
- Confidence in collaborating with commercial teams to understand and exceed client expectations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving competence.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; previous experience in product management or process improvement is a bonus.

At Papercup we’re on a mission to make the world’s videos watchable in any language. Our patented AI system generates humanlike synthetic voices across languages, allowing people to watch video content in the language of their choice. Our translated and dubbed content has allowed the likes of Insider, Discovery, Sky News, and Bloomberg to reach over 300 million people globally in just the last year.
At the heart of our business, we have a Localisation Operations function that is responsible for the delivery of all localisation services to our clients, and within sits our Project Management team. This talented team of Project Managers are responsible for our end to end workflow, and are at the cutting edge of our exciting localisation process. As we scale, the number of projects, and the quality bar we can achieve, increases exponentially - this is where you come in!
Your profile
As Project Management Lead, you’ll be joining at a critical time to:
- Lead, manage and provide expert guidance to our Project Management team
- Take point on key client projects - ensuring we exceed the expectations of our customers
- Own key delivery metrics and KPIs pertaining to all our projects - beyond just monitoring, you’ll be working cross-functionally to make improvements to everything from efficiency to gross margins
- Work closely with our Product team to help identify, prioritise and shape new product features that we can leverage to improve our tool
- Work with our Customer team to translate evolving customer requirements into first class service delivery processes
What you’ll need to succeed in this role:
- Deep expertise in localisation - we’re looking for seasoned veteran with 10+ years of localisation experience and at least 5 years leading project management teams
- Experience in dubbing and media localisation is essential
- Strong experience (and a genuine love for) coaching, mentoring and managing highly skilled teams of project managers
- Unimpeachable skills as a project manager - you should thrive in parallel tracking complex projects, troubleshooting to improve workflows, and always be scanning the horizon for service improvements
- Confidence working closely with commercial teams (sales and account management) to get into the weeds of client expectations and how we can best meet them
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - we’re a fast paced tech start up so we’re constantly evolving and always looking to improve
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you’ll be working with a range of people across product, commercial and engineering teams
- Experience in product management and/or process improvement are all a bonus
