Role Summary
- Contribute to app development, considering expansion needs and reliability.
- Write, test & release secure code aligned with industry, Pod Point standards and our product development roadmap.
- Understand business requirements and devise technical solutions.
- Facilitate the team's agile development with pair programming, peer code reviews, testing, and story writing.
- Facilititate our transition to modern microservices away from legacy monoliths.
Role Requirements
- Mobile engineering experience with emphasis on Flutter.
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, automated testing, and mobile design patterns.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, TDD/BDD, working within an agile software team, and analyzing requirements to architect solutions.
- Understanding of SQL & relational database structures, front-end technologies.
- Experience with Swift or Kotlin, DevOps principles/practices, end-to-end testing is a plus.
- Passion and knowledge about climate change, sustainability, and the EV industry always welcomed.

As a Senior Flutter Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the installer app to add new features as required in the expansion of our product offering, ensuring a reliable installation process. Your responsibilities will include writing, testing & releasing code to help our efforts towards our product development roadmap, understanding business requirements to help architect solutions to technical challenges, facilitating the teams agile software development via pair programming, peer code reviews, testing, and helping with story writing & technical specifications. You will also adhere to industry and company coding standards & practices, ensure system & data security, and help our transition from legacy monoliths to modern microservices.
We are looking for someone with previous mobile engineering experience, professional mobile development with Flutter, excellent understanding of consuming RESTful APIs, knowledge of Flutter state management and best practices, experience with automated testing, unit through to UI, understanding of OOP principles and mobile design patterns, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with TDD/BDD, experience working within an agile software team, ability to analyse requirements, problems, and opportunities and architect solutions. Bonus points for understanding of SQL & relational database structures, experience using MQTT, understanding of front-end technologies, experience developing with Swift or Kotlin, understanding of DevOps principles/practices, experience with end-to-end testing, educational qualifications in computer science or related field, and passion and knowledge about climate change, sustainability and/or the EV industry.
