Role Summary

  • Provide key support to the impact team and contribute directly to the company's growth.
  • Manage the sales inbound process, proposal writing, and client onboarding.
  • Assist with low-risk contract management and client feedback collection.
  • Ensure effective preparation for prospective client meetings and efficient administration.
  • Handle sales reporting and CRM support to the sales team.

Role Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced sales or similar role.
  • Proficiency in GoogleSuite and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong organisational abilities.
  • High motivation, ambitiousness, proactive behaviour, and 'can-do' attitude.
  • Adeptness at handling multiple projects and priorities; keen eye for detail.

The role and its responsibilities

The exact role definition will be dependent on the desire, capability and experiences of the right person. Key responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Sales and Commercial Support: The vast majority of your role will centre around providing comprehensive support to the sales team, including activities such as:
  • Managing the sales inbound process including the administrative and qualitative tasks of qualifying, allocating and sometimes calling new leads
  • Prospect/Client meeting preparation including company research, agenda setting and scheduling 
  • Prospect/Client meeting administration including quality note and action taking that demonstrates evidence of our clients’ varying and specific requirements
  • Proposal writing, including using existing frameworks to determine pricing and resourcing requirements
  • Client onboarding and low-risk contract management including NDAs
  • Collecting and managing client feedback, testimonials and managing client satisfaction metrics
  • Internal meeting administration including detailed note and action taking and follow-up
  • Sales reporting; proficiency in using the CRM to deliver high quality sales reports and identify insights and trends for optimisation of sales efforts
  • CRM support to sales to improve the cleanliness of data and reporting and ensure the CRM is the ‘single source of truth’
  • In addition to the above you will be expected to:

  • Support on commercial projects and initiatives 
  • Coordinate and deliver (set-up rather than hosting) some virtual event formats created to accelerate the sales process
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing and event teams to deliver seamless prospect to customer journeys

About you 

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes: 

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced sales, commercial support or similar role.
  • Skills: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in GoogleSuite and CRM systems (HubSpot would be advantageous).
  • Attributes: Highly motivated, ambitious, commercially-driven, proactive, with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Mindset: Growth mindset, adaptable, embraces challenges, and aligned with our company values.
  • Communication: Confident and articulate, able to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

You are a team player - you like a laugh, but are not afraid to graft. You are a student of sustainability, have plenty to offer, and know you have even more to learn.

You are action-oriented, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities and enjoy just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a ‘people person’ with a knack for building relationships with a diverse group of people.

In your first 3 months you will:

  • Be introduced to your guide and mentor
  • Go through our onboarding programme with training across all our sustainability services
  • Join our fortnightly Personal Growth sessions and Friday lunch-and-learns on anything and everything to do with Impact
  • Get to know our CEO and many of our key clients very well

Location

You will be within commuting distance of our London office (Spitalfields Market) and able to be in the office at least 2 days per week.

Working hours 

We believe in flexible working hours to better suit our personal lives while being considerate of each other and our clients. We generally work office hours but trust each other to make fair decisions.
