tiney is on a mission to simplify home-based childcare businesses. Launched in 2020, it supports over 800 registered childcare providers in England and facilitates childcare payments worth over £15M annually. As part of their ground team, you will be responsible for conducting registration and compliance visits across England.

Role Summary:

Role Requirements:

  • Prior experience in the early years sector.
  • Strong observational and assessment skills.
  • Willingness to undertake a valid enhanced DBS check.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protections and early years curriculum.
  • Skills in multi-tasking, prioritization and working under pressure.
  • Ability to motivate childminders and support the childminder agency model.

About tiney We’re building a platform that enables people to open and run their own home-based childcare businesses, allowing passionate early years educators to focus more energy on the children, enjoy doing what they love, and spend less time on the complex business admin and compliance that comes with the job. We have over 800 registered childcare providers in England and we're processing over £15M per annum of childcare payments through our platform.

The role This is an employed role with tiney, however this role is a field based role, focused on carrying out registration calls, registration visits, compliance visits and quality assurance visits, and therefore a key requirement of the role will be flexibility to travel across your allocated England, as required, and candidates should be prepared to be on the road carrying out visits on a full time basis.

Job requirements To have appropriate experience in the early years sector. To demonstrate strong observational and assessment skills. Must hold or be willing to undertake a valid enhanced DBS check. Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (preferable). Relevant knowledge of safeguarding and child protections. The ability to set priorities, work flexibly, multi task and under pressure. Have good interpersonal skills and be able to connect, enthuse, inform and motivate childminders. A strong and current knowledge of all safeguarding procedures, EYFS requirements and all legal statutory frameworks. A thorough knowledge and understanding of child development theory, and of early years curriculum, evidence based practice, and teaching approaches. Have a solid understanding of managing a childminder setting. High levels of motivation and dedication to the role. Be positive and considerate to others. Motivated to support the childminder agency model.
