Role Summary

  • Improve founder investment outcomes and strengthen Foundervine’s investment lens.
  • Focus on quality and capability-building rather than transactional activity.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support for fundraising strategies.
  • Support development of relationships with investors.
  • Contribute to curriculum design and cohort selection criteria.

Role Requirements

  • Strategic and advisory role with a time commitment of up to one day per week.
  • Experience in investor ecosystem and dealflow development.

The Investor-in-Residence role is a senior, credibility-anchoring position designed to improve founder investment outcomes, strengthen Foundervine’s investment lens, and enhance our reputation with the investor ecosystem. The role focuses on quality, judgement, and capability-building rather than volume or transactional activity.

Founder Investment Readiness & Capital Access: Provide 1:1 and group support to help founders develop clear, realistic fundraising strategies, support at final stages of fundraising readiness, contribute to defining an 'investment-ready' standard, advise on non-dilutive and alternative funding options.

Investor Ecosystem & Dealflow Development: Contribute insight to the Investor Office and Start-ups Office, support development of relationships with investors, advise how Foundervine positions itself.

Programme Design, Selection & Brand Credibility: Input into curriculum design, contribute to cohort selection criteria, participate in pitch judging and panels, support marketing and business development activity.

Role boundaries and ways of working: Role is strategic and advisory, introductions are selective, time commitment up to one day per week.
