Finance Associate (Q/PQ) - Part Time - 3 days per week Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 FTE + excellent benefits, including 27 days holiday, 2:1 pension (up to 12% employer contribution), plus many more Location: London/Hybrid with 2-4 days per month in the office Part Time - 3 days per week Did you know that there are at least 20m people in the UK in vulnerable financial circumstances, who are poorly served or unfairly excluded from mainstream financial services? That’s nearly a third of all adults in the UK. We are Fair4All Finance. We are a not-for-profit organisation working with Financial Services providers to improve the financial wellbeing of people in vulnerable circumstances by increasing access to fair, affordable and appropriate financial products and services.

We are continuing our work following our latest round of funding, and as a result we are now seeking a Finance Associate (Q/PQ) to join our growing Finance team on a Part Time basis (3 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with finance or bookkeeping experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive, purpose-driven organisation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our day-to-day financial processes, with particular responsibility for accounts payable. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, supporting invoice processing, expenses, reconciliations and period-end activities, while helping maintain accurate financial records and controls. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately, coded correctly and paid on time Monitor invoice approval workflows and work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure timely processing of payments Support staff in using purchase order and expense management processes, providing guidance where required Monitor and support employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with internal processes and timely approvals Perform bank reconciliations and support cash management activities, including payment preparation Raise invoices where required and support the management of accounts receivable activities Maintain accurate financial records, including the fixed asset register Support month-end and year-end financial processes, including preparation for external audit requirements Provide wider administrative and operational support to the Finance team as required Essential experience & qualifications AAT qualified, part-qualified or equivalent finance qualification Experience in a finance, accounts payable, bookkeeping or finance administration role Good working knowledge of financial processes and controls Confident working with numbers and financial information Intermediate Excel skills and experience using finance systems Experience managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Experience building positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills Person Profile Highly organised, methodical and able to manage their workload effectively Naturally curious, with the confidence to ask questions and challenge where appropriate Detail-focused and committed to producing accurate, high-quality work A proactive problem solver who enjoys improving processes and finding practical solutions Comfortable working in a changing environment where priorities can evolve Collaborative and supportive, with a strong team-first mindset Resilient and adaptable, willing to take ownership and get involved wherever needed Motivated to develop their finance knowledge and grow their career Passionate about Fair4All Finance's mission to improve financial inclusion and make a positive difference to people's lives Who are Fair4All Finance?
