Transport Network Performance Manager

Reporting directly to the Home Delivery & Transport Director, this role brings together planning, modelling, performance insight and network optimisation across Home Delivery (RHD) and Transport. You will contribute to setting strategic direction, develop planning methodologies, and lead the annual performance cycle. This includes shaping how Riverford monitors performance, models operational scenarios, and makes decisions across safety, service, cost, capacity, sustainability and future commercial growth. A core part of the role is project management and delivery, with responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering projects that result in agreed operational changes being implemented. Through this, the role strengthens and evolves Riverford’s end‑to‑end Planning, Performance and Network Optimisation capability, supporting effective day‑to‑day decision‑making and longer‑term network development across RHD and Transport. Salary: c £50,000 per annum Location     This role is working remotely and travel is required across our various hubs on a regular basis. If you are based in the Bristol/Bath area this would be an ideal location to reach some of our larger hubs and Head Office Hours - 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday What We’re Looking For… ·        Proven senior level experience in a complex last mile or FMCG network environment.  ·        SME experience in operational modelling, planning, optimisation and performance reporting.  ·        Experience in routing and planning tools (e.g., Paragon, Beetroute, ORTEC).  ·        Advanced experience with BI platforms (Power BI) and data modelling.  ·        Demonstrated ability to influence Senior stakeholders and shape long-term strategy.  ·        Experience leading annual planning cycles, KPI frameworks and optimisation programmes.  Application Process: Applications will be reviewed during the process so we would encourage you to apply before the closing date as the role may be closed early.  Any internal co-owners, please can you speak to your manager for feedback and suitability for the role, before applying for the position.
